Problem Note 32337: ERROR: Too few arguments passed to method _PRETERM in SASHELP.SASDESK.LIST_MV.SCL
When working with MDDBs in a JAVA application that uses an IOM connection to the SAS server, you might receive the following message:
ERROR: Too few arguments passed to method _preterm which requires at least 1 arguments.
We have seen this error caused by a SAS/AF resource entry not being resynchronized after a software update. The process to synchronize the resource entry can be performed on a SAS install where SAS/AF is licensed.
You will need to resynchronize the AF resource: SASHELP.MB.RESBASE.RESOURCE
To do this, open a SAS session, and navigate with the SAS Explorer to:
LIBNAME=SASHELP
CATALOG=MB
Scroll to RESBASE.RESOURCE, and right click on this entry. You will have an option SYNCHRONIZE. Click on this item, and you are done. Check the log for errors. Performing this action is harmless.
If you do not have SAS/AF licensed on the system, please contact Tech Support.
